Use the map to guide your way

Cavez is filled with hundreds of locations, so we've included a map to help you find your way. Below is a diagram showing the major components of the map.

The main parts of the map are:

1. Add new photos - click on this button to add new pictures to Cavez.
2. Category tabs - the directory tree will show either places or events based on the tab you select. If you do a search, the results will be shown in the 'Results' tab.
3. Directory tree - All of the places and events in the database are listed here, sorted into categories.
   • You can click on the checkbox beside the category name to display all the places in that category.
   • If a place is currently displayed on the map, the icon will appear beside its name.
   • You can click on an individual place/event to show it on the map.
4. Result navigator - only 20 results are shown on the map at a time. You can page through the results using the forward and backward arrows on this button. The next 20 results will be shown, based on your current map view.
5. Refesh button - during your exploring, you may travel to a different part of the map. Clicking on this button will display up to 20 results based on you current location.
6. Cave info window - clicking on the various icons showing on the map will display on info window summarizing the contents of that cave. Click on the info window to check out that cave.
